I began serving as Pastor of this church in November of 2013, and it is a privilage to follow God's call in my life at this church. I am married to my wonderful wife of 11 years, Shannon. We have a beautiful daughter Jadis, and a son named Corin. I am a graduate of Dallas Baptist University with my undergraduate degree in Christian Studies and a minor is Kinesiology and my master’s degree in Christian Ministry from Dallas Baptist University as well. I am currently pursuing my Doctorate of Educational Ministry at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. My wife has a major in Religious Studies and a minor in Theater Arts from the University of Arizona and has a passion for Christ and the Gospel.
I was raised in a Christian home with supportive parents. I was always encouraged to attend church, but never saw a personal relationship with Christ as important. At the age of twelve I had a youth volunteer take me to a rally in a nearby town. At this point I feel that Christ took hold of my life. I felt the Lords calling to the ministry at the age of 16. Through out college I spent a lot of time rock climbing and in that culture of “open minded” people, which I feel gave me unique insights into the non-typical Christian students life. My heart lies in community and outreach to the lost struggling in a postmodern, anything goes society. I have had the opportunity to serve on the mission field in Los Moches, Mexico and Ensenada, Mexico, as a carpenter. I also lived in Renosa, Mexico for 4 months in an orphanage building houses. I also served with Crossway ministries for 7 months in Yosemite, California reaching the employees of the National Park.
